Mary Fischer: Faith over Fear
Mary, a Magnificat Hall of Fame inductee and former professional basketball player for Dublin Ireland, is the mother of four boys ages 7 weeks to 8 years old. Her six-year-old son, Leo, was diagnosed with non-verbal Autism as a young toddler. He has since received amazing services through Help Me Grow and Lakewood City Schools in Ohio. Leo receives speech, occupational, feeding and ABA therapy. Mary tells how she balances her marriage, raising four boys, and staying well emotionally, physically and mentally.
We learn from Mary:
*When faced with adversity it is key to have a village of people as your support system.
*Date night at the fire pit after the kids go to sleep, a simple drive alone or a few hours at Marshalls store may each help fulfill your bucket
*When you face difficult times know that challenges are not sent to destroy you, they are sent to promote, increase and strengthen you.
*Networking with others who have common challenges can empower you-Get connected, stay connected.
*Children with special needs can bring joy and families together.
